Yayasan Sicence to Action (S2A) CSR Campaign: Protect Our Children in School, Hand-in-Hand


INTRODUCTION
The date of school reopening was set to be on 4th October 2021 nationwide, with primary school children progressively be back to school on 1st November 2021. We see the risk incur on our young children, because the vaccine development is not ready as yet to them. The risk will rise if no proper education channeled to them on the proper usage of the preventive measures materials. Hence, Yayasan Science to Action is working with the Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Perak to kick start this programme in Perak as our first move, before covering more states in our subsequent actions. The first batch of materials donation will be sent to schools by end of November.


OBJECTIVES of CSR:
a) Provide necessary preventive measures materials to schools involved,
b) Held public seminar to educate the correct use of the materials to the schools, children as well as the public,
c) Linking government agencies, NGOs and private entities to jointly contribute to our children of 1 Malaysia, hand-in-hand.


PREVENTIVE MEASURES MATERIALS:
To meet the level of pandemic prevention by following the school's latest SOPs, Yayasan S2A made the following recommendations for the materials needed for the schools such as the following:
1. Face mask must have MDA, SIRIM, ISO, SGS certificates.
2. Hand sanitizer must have MDA, SIRIM, ISO, SGS certificates.
3. Disinfectant spray gun and its liquid.
4. Antigen detection tool for coronavirus sputum samples for teachers and students to use every two weeks.
